Priapus Shot (P SHOT)

P shot, also known as Priapus Shot, is a non-surgical medical procedure that involves injecting a patient’s own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) into the penis to improve sexual function and performance.

The procedure begins by drawing the patient’s blood and processing it to isolate the PRP, which is a concentrated solution of growth factors and other healing agents. The PRP is then injected into the penis using a small needle, usually in the area around the corpus cavernosum, which is the main tissue responsible for erections.

The idea behind the P shot is that the growth factors in the PRP will help to stimulate new tissue growth and improve blood flow to the penis, resulting in stronger, longer-lasting erections and increased sexual sensitivity. It may also help with conditions like Peyronie’s disease, which is characterized by curvature of the penis.

The P shot procedure takes about 30 minutes and is typically done on an outpatient basis, with no downtime or recovery time required. However, like any medical procedure, there are potential risks and side effects associated with the P shot, including bruising, pain, infection, and scarring.

It’s important to note that while the P shot has been reported to have some positive effects on sexual function and performance, more research is needed to fully understand its effectiveness and potential risks. Patients considering the P shot should consult with a qualified medical professional to determine if it’s the right option for them.

Our center at Haldwani provides P-SHOT for erectile dysfunction and is a pioneer institute for same in Kumaun region of Uttarakhand.
